okay... so what I read is... "I've been so successful on my own turf with renewable s.. that I can't believe it myself and must be missing something here" When you figure that one out.. let me know.... but I can certainly lend a thought.. what you're missing is.. and the only things you're missing are...the cost.. and pollution of fossil fuels... and as my comments were directed at your comments on plug in hybrids... the 'cost' of the hydrocarbon free holy grail of energy production and use can't be measured in dollars and cents.. just sense... I accept that you are going along kicking and screaming.. but that's all folks that depend on fossil fuels know.. when they have the planet and sun on their side.. they just don't know what to do with themselves!! Rock on dude.. Solar rules!! Best J1

Out of the 'fossil fuels game' bud.. that's where the holy grail of energy lies... Very very little or no more of my money going to support the likes of Bp.. or Shell.. or Hellonearthern.. Best J1

OCG.. you crunch the numbers to much bro'.. look at it this way.. any vehicle that cuts fossil fuel use is a good thing.. and vehicle that almost eliminates fossil fuel use is a better thing.. and any vehicle that completely eliminates fossil fuel use is an excellent thing... an Ev , charged off wind,. solar pv, hydro, or geo.. completely eliminates fossil fuel use.(even by renewable offset). that is a GREAT MOST EXCELLENT thing.. no more fluctuating gasoline prices... you make your own fuel off your roof.. you trade it energy yourself like a barter.. you charge free at ether's locations of the trades... that is freedom from, traders, commodities, gas stations, the internal combustion engine... I don't care what it may cost in the end.. it will be worth every cent to take as much of my money simply burned on fossil fuels.. and lay it all on the table towards technology that works and works reliably AND cuts down on my carbon footprint to near or net zero.. Out of the fossil fuels game'

How's that mini-split system performing for you? I'm pretty happy with mine - 21F outside & blowing 82 degrees inside. After a defrost cycle it will blow a burst of 110 air for a minute or two. Not bad for less than a kilowatt. Just curious how it's working in a colder clime?

Thanks for your post about realclearenrgy, today. Refreshing to read someone who has some objectivity.

Although I can see the range growing on the EV's, they're still not where I'm comfortable w/ them. And FREE for life - don't hold your breath on that one! Have a good one...thx 4 the post..

WTG, buddy. Like or dislike people on their own merits--I'm with you 100%.

Very thoughtful comments today on crude oil and fracking. And your comment about the knee-jerk dislike of Obama is spot on. Few people want to admit they're racists; nevertheless, the elephant is still in the room.
